The rehabilitation initiative included the Majik Forest Conservation Area, Jack Müller Park Conservation Area, Penhill Conservation Area and the Acacia Greenbelt.
Seeds were collected over the past eight months with the assistance of local Friends groups.
The seeds were sown into previously disturbed soil and with the winter rains, will create favourable conditions for the seeds to germinate and grow. This type of passive rehabilitation technique follows natural processes of biodiversity recovery.
